Área de Proteção Ambiental do ESTUÁRIO do RIO MUNDAÚ

Emoldurada por extensos cordões de dunas – contínuos e paralelos à linha da costa –, a APA do Estuário do Mundaú foi definida pelo Decreto Estadual nº 25.414/1999, numa área de 1.596,37 ha. Dentre outras belezas, oferece um cenário deslumbrante do mar e do encontro das águas na formação da Barra. A vegetação associa a riqueza biológica do mangue com o esplendor das dunas, cuja altura pode chega a 15 metros, formando um ambiente fundamental para a preservação e reprodução de muitas espécies. O Estuário do Rio Mundaú é um santuário de uso sustentável, com banho aprazível, pôr do sol famoso e cores que se misturam no horizonte.

Environmental Protection Area of MUNDAÚ RIVER ESTUARY

Framed by extensive dune ridges – continuous and parallel to the coastline – the EPA of Mundaú River Estuary was defined by State Decree No. 25,414/1999, in an area of 1,596.37 ha. Among other beauties, it offers a breathtaking scenario of the sea and the meeting of water in the formation of the Bar. The vegetation combines the biological richness of the mangrove with the splendor of the dunes, whose height can reach 15 meters, forming a fundamental environment for the preservation and reproduction of many species. The Mundaú River Estuary is a sanctuary of sustainable use, with pleasant bathing, famous sunsets, and colors that blend on the horizon.
