Área de Proteção Ambiental do ESTUÁRIO do RIO CEARÁ

Ameaçada pelo veloz e intenso adensamento urbano no seu entorno, esta unidade de conservação teve sua área ampliada em 2.735 ha, no ano de 2021, por meio do Decreto Estadual nº 67. Uma das mais belas transições entre o rio e o mar, a chamada Barra do Ceará, em Fortaleza, tem resistido à modernidade. É possível usufruir do contato com a natureza, aprender, ensinar, brincar, cantar e dançar em suas águas e areias. Com 4.262,44 ha, a APA do Estuário do Rio Ceará tem em seu ecossistema: Mata de Tabuleiro, Caatinga, Cerrado e Manguezal. As comunidades que ocupam o entorno desenvolvem estudos de arte sobre os movimentos do mangue, em inspiração e base aos mais plurais gêneros de criação. A relevância histórica, por ter sido um dos palcos da colonização, é mais um valor a ser preservado pela importância educativa da memória.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AREA OF CEARÁ RIVER ESTUARY

Threatened by fast and intense urban densification in its surroundings, this conservation unit had its area expanded by 2,735 ha in 2021, through State Decree No. 67. One of the most beautiful transitions between the river and the sea, the also known as Barra do Ceará in Fortaleza has resisted modernity. It is possible to enjoy contact with nature, learn, teach, play, sing, and dance in its water and sands. With 4,262.44 ha, the APA of Ceará River Estuary has in its ecosystem: Tabuleiro Forest, Caatinga, Cerrado, and Mangrove. The communities surrounding it develop art studies on mangrove movements, inspiring and based on the most diverse genres of creation. Historical relevance, as one of the stages of colonization, is another value to be preserved for the educational importance of memory.
