Área de Proteção Ambiental das DUNAS de PARACURU

O Decreto Estadual nº 25.418/1999 criou a APA das Dunas de Paracuru, em uma área de 3.909,60 ha, no município homônimo. Trilhas, observação de aves, surfe nas dunas, surfe no mar, windsurf, kitesurf, pesca amadora e mergulho são possibilidades oferecidas pelo espaço, com regulamentação e fiscalização. No caso de Paracuru, as areias percorrem a faixa de praia, passam por superfícies planas e, impulsionadas pelo vento, chegam aos lençóis de dunas. Integrado ao Sistema Ambiental da Planície Litorânea, as dunas são frágeis à intervenção humana, carecendo dos cuidados que fundamentaram a criação desta APA.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AREA OF PARACURU DUNES

State Decree No. 25,418/1999 created the EPA of Paracuru Dunes in an area of 3,909.60 ha in Paracuru. Trails, bird watching, dune surfing, sea surfing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, amateur fishing, and diving are possibilities offered by the space, with regulations and monitoring. In case of Paracuru, the sands traverse the beach strip, pass through flat surfaces, and, propelled by the wind, reach the dune fields. Integrated into the Environmental System of the Coastal Plain, the dunes are fragile to human intervention, requiring the care that underlies the creation of this APA.
